PREFRAUD CONSULTANCY / ABN 53 702 100 249 / ACN 702 100 249
Privacy
policy.
Last updated 31 August 2026. This policy covers the Prefraud website, Fraudbites subscriptions and general enquiries. Information handled during an engagement is also governed by the confidentiality, authorisation and information-handling terms agreed in writing for that engagement.
01 / WHAT WE COLLECT
When you email us or otherwise make an enquiry, we collect the information you choose to provide, which may include your name, email address, organisation, area of concern and message content.
Standard technical logs such as IP address, browser type and pages requested may be recorded by our hosting provider for security and reliability. We do not use advertising trackers or sell personal information.
02 / WHY WE COLLECT IT
We use information to respond to your enquiry, assess whether an engagement is appropriate, prepare scope and authorisation documents if you proceed, deliver requested services and meet legal or record-keeping obligations.
We do not add enquiry details to the Fraudbites list unless you separately subscribe. Fraudbites subscribers receive the weekly update they requested and can unsubscribe at any time.
03 / FRAUDBITES
If you subscribe to Fraudbites, we collect your email address, the time and source of your signup, and the wording version shown when you consented.
We use this information to record your subscription, send Fraudbites, manage unsubscribes and suppress bounced or complained-about addresses. We do not sell the list or use it to create a client portal account.
04 / STORAGE AND PROTECTION
Website and email services are provided by third-party infrastructure providers. Access within Prefraud is limited to people who need the information to respond or deliver the engagement.
Engagement material is handled under the stricter controls in the relevant engagement documents, including restrictions on scope, access, disclosure and authorised client contacts.
05 / DISCLOSURE
We disclose personal information where you have agreed, where it is required to provide a service you requested, to service providers supporting that work, or where disclosure is required or authorised by law.
Some infrastructure providers may process information outside Australia. Where relevant, we take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and protect the information entrusted to us.
06 / ACCESS AND CORRECTION
You may request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you by emailing inquiries@prefraud.com.au.
We will respond within a reasonable period and explain any lawful basis for refusing a request.
07 / COMPLAINTS
If you believe we have mishandled personal information, contact us first at the address above so we can investigate.
If you are not satisfied with our response, information about privacy complaints is available from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
